Tronc’s music is one of changes within stasis, anchored in sound materiality and abstracted (ethno)musicological structures. The collaboration between NikoLFO - modular synth, voice - and Pierre Bizot (Nestor Corbut, Miss Francis) - guitars - delivers warm and glowing shadows of minimalism with accents of essential rock electricity.
Tronc first emerged from Berlin underground around 2013 as a guitar-drumset kraut-improv unit, mutated into synth-punk-rock duo in the humid concrete jungle of the Brazilian winter 2016, and eventually found its elegant guitar-modular synth formulation in Lisbon's outskirt around spring time 2019.
